Our online program is designed to prepare students for employment as fire officers and fire fighting and prevention supervisors in career, volunteer, and combination fire departments. The program prepares individuals to provide initial care to sick or injured persons.
Courses at AHI are broken down into several different modules. In order to successfully complete this program you must complete the modules in their entirety. Classes are available 24 hours a day. The Fire Officer I Program can be completed in 8.5 months. This program has a field work component.
Upon successful completion of the program students will be awarded a certificate. Students who successfully complete the requirements of the Fire Officer I program will be eligible to sit for the certification examination through The Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training.
