Students will learn the history of both spinal manipulation and the chiropractic profession as a whole. The program will also introduce students to radiography and demonstrates how physics, electromagnetism and energy provide the tools for radiographs. They will be given the skills and abilities to assist the Chiropractor in patient treatment and assessment. Upon completion of this course, students will have taken a variety of courses related to the chiropractic field. Courses include Radiography, Chiropractic Principles and Philosophy, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology. To ensure a complete background of the chiropractic field, the Alternative Medicine-Chiropractic Technologist covers a facility based clinical training requirement which provides the student with a hands on learning experience. After successful completion of the program, students will be awarded an Associate Degree in Alternative Medicine-Chiropractic Technologist. Graduates will be eligible to be certified through the ARRT Limited Scope Radiographer Exam. Licensure requirements vary from state to state.
